Anna is a psychologist who is dedicated to helping individuals maintain good mental health whilst navigating this ever changing, and at times, chaotic world.
Her passion is to educate, motivate and support people in finding ways to be the best versions of themselves and to live a more purposeful and present life.

Anna Nikolaou
PSYCHOLOGIST & DIRECTOR OF MACLEOD WELLNESS CENTRE
Anna is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is also a registered provider for Medicare, TAC and Workcover. Anna holds a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, where her thesis explored the role of coping strategies as mediators between attachment styles and psychological distress.
Furthering her expertise, Anna completed a Post-Graduate Degree in Adolescent Health and Welfare at Melbourne University. Anna has worked in Child Protection for the Department of Family Fairness and Housing and managed programs funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. She is currently working with adolescents at a Private School in Melbourne and continues to provide therapeutic support for individuals at her private practice clinic, Macleod Wellness Centre, where she leads a strong team of Psychologists.
What sets Anna apart is her warm, empathetic approach. Her strengths are in building strong supportive relationships with her clients and providing tailored assistance to individuals dealing with challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, motivation, work-related stress, anger management and work life balance.
Anna utilises evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focussed Therapy and Psychoeducation to empower her clients with effective strategies for managing their concerns.
Practicing what she preaches, the mother of two teenagers ensures she looks after her mind and body, and prioritises social connections, daily walks, Pilates and regular dinners with friends.
